Recipe for Frosted Cheerios on a Stick --

Ingredients:
3 cups (750 mL) miniature marshmallows (plain or fruited or mixed)
2 tablespoons (25 mL) margarine, butter or spread
1/4 cup (50 mL) creamy peanut butter
4 cups (1 L) Frosted Cheerios® cereal
1/2 cup (125 mL) raisins
1/3 cup (75 mL) sunflower seeds
10 wooden sticks with rounded ends

Preparation Instructions:
Cover cookie sheet with waxed paper. Heat marshmallows and margarine in 3-quart (3 L) saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in peanut butter; remove from heat.

Stir in cereal, raisins and sunflower seeds until evenly coated. Let stand about 2 minutes or until mixture is cool enough to handle.

Shape mixture into 2-inch (5 cm) balls. Insert wooden stick to center of each ball. Let stand about 30 minutes or until firm. Store in covered container.

Tip: This recipe also works well when pressed into a 8 or 9-inch (2L) square baking dish and cut into squares. Spray pan with cooking spray for easy removal.

Microwave Directions: Microwave marshmallows, margarine and peanut butter in 3 qt/3 L microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 – 1 1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Follow directions above.
